Gas lift is a very important part of an office chair.
How an Office Chair gas lift works?
1 – Once gas is injected by gas injection machine，open/close pin becomes closed ，and piston rod stops at appropriate rate of balanced gas pressures of A and B.
2 – Once open/close pin is opened by pressing gas open pin, gas A and B are connected to each other through gas channel C ，and the piston rod is increased by gas pressure. However, the piston rod decreases if a certain level of power (half of gas power) is applied toward the pressure direction.
3 – Once the power pushing down the open pin deceases, pen/close pin automatically returns to its original position, and disconnects linkage between A and B. becoming the lock status.
Pressure applied to the front side causes the piston rod to expel outward. Thereby always moving from high pressure to low pressure. However, since low pressure exists at the exterior of the piston rod and high pressure exists inside of the piston rod/Rod always pushes toward the outside.
How to judge a good qualified gas lift?
- Gas lifts are classified with 4 grades, class 1, class 2, class 3, and class 4.
- The higher the class, the better quality a gas lift is.
